I know most of you doesn't know what TMJ means. It means TempoMandibular Joint Disorder.
"Panga" sa tagalog

Here's how my case history goes, first I had facial pain which i mistakenly thought as sinusitis. That's why i immediately have an appointment with an EENT specialist which my mom recommended me. My initial diagnosis is that i have sinusitis though. but then, few days later i had earache same on the left side where i first felt the facial pain plus tinnitus (ringing in the ear). Again, i had it checked by my EENT dr and the result was negative. That Dr. even asked me to have a CT scan ( i was afraid and i panicked that time because i thought i have brain tumor or something like that). But then i visited my neurologist since i'm really doubting what that dr recommended me plus i was also experiencing numbness (paresthesia) in my left face already. I'm really scared!
it feels so weird it was the first time for me to experience that symptom before. Then my neurologist said i don't need to have a ct scan actually ( WHATTA RELIEF! i'm really afraid of confined places). She said i might have TMJ or it's only because my wisdom tooth is popping out.
She explained everything to me and as a nurse I also thought that it might be it.

Then my BF told me his orthodontic/dentist is a really good one and to my surprise, that dentist is a TMJ specialist.

AND indeed it is TMJ I just had my weird intracranial x-ray which feels very awful when their taking it. My doctor saw the films of the x-ray ( which was taken all the way from Rob Ermita, since that the only clinic my dentist knew that ha that kind of machine), she saw that the dislocation of my joint is really severe.

TREATMENT?:

now a few days from now i'm about to wear my dental splint.. goodluck
will post my pics when i already have it :P
